My Two Cents is an ICNZB Accredited Bookkeeping Business. Our accountants are members of ATAINZ, CIMA and IRD approved tax agents. Our bookkeepers are certified bookkeepers with ICBNZ. Our team are Xero advisor and Xero Payroll certified.

The My Two Cents Team
The Northland based team of Accountants & Bookkeepers at My Two Cents are made up of some very talented ladies.
We won ICNZB Bookkeeping Business of the Year 2021, and were finalists in Xero Bookkeeping Partner of the Year 2020.
Haley, the owner of My Two Cents, is a Professional Tax & Business Advisor (PTBA, ATAINZ), ICNZB Certified Bookkeeper and your trusted business advisor and accountant. Haley is also an award winning bookkeeper - taking out ICNZB's Certified Bookkeeper of the Year 2021, Bookkeeper in a Small Practice 2019, and finalist in ICNZB's Bookkeeper of the Year and Bookkeeper in a Small Practice 2020. Haley loves working with clients to create efficiencies in their businesses, solve problems, know their numbers, and make accountant speak easy to understand. She's our Tax and Compliance Specialist, providing advice and support to clients and the team.
Natalie, one of our amazing Business Advisory Specialists, is a qualified accountant with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (CIMA). Natalie has a huge amount of experience from her previous life as a corporate finance manager, and management accountant, as well as owning and running her own businesses. She loves working with clients in all industries, helping them to create successful, financially sustainable businesses.
Maris is also a Business Advisory Specialist, and a qualified accountant with a Master's Degree in Accounting. Maris has an extensive auditing background and a huge amount of experience working with Not-for-Profits. Maris loves working with clients in the planning, coaching and development space. Helping clients to take their businesses to the next level.
With Natalie, Maris headlining our Business Advisory Services we have an amazing duo with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience to help clients create, nurture and grow their businesses into something awesome!
We have an amazing team of bookkeepers who are the grease that keep the wheels turning in our clients businesses. Mackyla, Jo, Tiffany, Sonja, Tracy and Celine are all ICNZB Certified Bookkeepers, Xero Certified and extremely experienced with a range of software's and payroll systems.
From bank reconciliation, invoicing, job management, cash flow management, payroll processing, GST filing, and everything else that our clients need to run their businesses, our Bookkeepers do it, and do it well. They have an amazing eye for detail and can pick any problem apart to find a solution.
And we can't forget our administration super stars! Charlotte and Michelle. Without these two our calenders would be empty, the phone would go unanswered, and all the behind the scenes magic would not get done.

Hi I'm Haley
I’m based in the Mangawhai, Northland. I moved here with my family from Waiheke Island. I live with my amazing partner, our daughter and son. I’m a country girl at heart and an animal lover. We have a dog, cats and chickens. Between my children and my pets, what spare time I have left is spent exploring our wonderful home.
I have a Diploma in Business and a Certificate in Business Studies from Massey University. Prior to running my own business I worked for Kiwibank for 8 years, and then in various accounts roles working with a multitude of software's and systems.
I took the leap and started my business in 2014, after a few of my friends/clients asked me to help them with their businesses.
I pride myself on being efficient, driven and trustworthy. I have a passion for bookkeeping and accounting and truly love the work I do. Helping people achieve the three freedoms - financial, time and mind.

Hi I'm Natalie
After leaving England in 2004, my husband and I moved to Auckland, where I worked as a senior manager in the Insurance industry. I left corporate finance a few years ago and ran my own small business in Mangawhai, before coming back into an accounting role with My Two Cents. With my English background, my accounting qualification is from the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts, UK.
Outside of work, I love the outdoors, walking the dog at the beach and being a Mum to our 2 kids. When I'm not running around after the family, I'm either baking or in the garden.

Hi I'm Maris
Originally from North Carolina, USA, I came to New Zealand while on secondment while working for a large Audit, Tax, and Consulting practice. I worked in the audit field for a decade until my husband and I decided to leave the city and move to Northland where I started to focus my career on business advisory services.
I have an undergraduate degree in Business from Appalachian State University and a Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University.
When not at work, you can find me out surfing with a smile on my face. I love dragging my husband all around NZ in search of waves, some of my favourite places to adventure to are Ahipara and Raglan.
I look forward to working with our clients to better understand their businesses and providing coaching, planning, forecasting/budgeting, succession planning and so many more amazing services to help our clients take their businesses to the next level.

Hi I'm Mackyla
I live a small commute from Mangawhai with my partner and our children. I come from a farming background and have spent a lot of time on dairy farms; I'm also a qualified hair stylist. On my days off I'm kept very busy having adventures in and around Mangawhai with my son.
I completed the Certificate in Bookkeeping last year with the Career Academy, and became a Certified Bookkeeper with ICNZB. I started work with My Two Cents in September 2018. Since then I have become Xero Certified Advisor and Xero Payroll Certified.
I love working with our varied clients, there is never a dull day in the office.

Hi I'm Jo
Originally from Auckland, my family and I made the move north 10 years ago for the lifestyle change and all that the beautiful Kaipara has to offer. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family, friends and our animals. Northland is an amazing place to explore and I love living the “rural dream".
I am a Certified Bookkeeper with ICNZB, a Xero Certified Advisor and recently have become a Debtor Daddy Accounts Receivable Specialist.
I love supporting small businesses and as Accounts Receivable is the lifeblood of any business, I am passionate about helping you keep that cash flowing in.

I live the country dream with my family on a farm in Mangawhai. We are surrounded by a variety of animals but mainly horses. In my spare time, I enjoy horse riding, boating and spending time with my friends and family.
I have a background in various administration and bookkeeping roles including early childhood education, construction and marine.
I'm an ICNZB Certified Bookkeeper, WorkflowMax Certified, and am Xero Certified.
I'm keen to learn new things, and don't mind a challenge!

Hi I'm Elizabeth
I live in Mangawhai with my spoiled rotten Cavoodle, Chester. I have been wanting to move to Mangawhai for a long time, and was overjoyed when I got to move here 18 months ago as an escapee from Auckland.
I have been working as a self-employed bookkeeper for the last 18 years, along with walking dogs to get some variety and exercise. I am Xero Certified and Xero Payroll Certified. I was drawn to bookkeeping because I am good at organising, and enjoy making everything flow smoothly and efficiently. There is a lot of satisfaction in taking something that stresses a lot of small business owners, and making it easy and stress-free.
When I am not working, I enjoy getting out and walking with my dog, especially at the beach and with friends. If a flat white is included, then life is good.

Hi I'm Sonja
I live in the sunny but windy Marlborough regions, in Blenheim. We immigrated from South Africa in 2014 and are proud Kiwi citizens now. I am married to a Tradesman and together we have 2 daughters and are foster parents to a little boy since 2019. Before we immigrated to New Zealand, I studied to become a lawyer. Before venturing out to start my own business, I spent a considerable amount of time at Mitre 10 in Ferrymead. During my time there, I gained diverse skills, ranging from managing stock and inventory to handling payables and receivables. Working closely with finances inspired the confidence in me to take the leap and become my own boss.
Why I love bookkeeping: I pride myself on providing a personalised approach to what I do and to ensure a good understanding of the person’s business and to identify the best way to help. It's the best feeling in the world when someone trust you to assist them in their bookkeeping needs.
Apart from work, my social time revolves around my kids. As a family we are passionate campers.

Hi I'm Tracy
I live with my husband, our 10-year-old daughter, and many beloved animals on a sunny avocado orchard in Katikati, Bay of Plenty.
With a background in administration, I transitioned to working as a bookkeeper from home after my daughter was born. When I'm not helping clients with their accounts, you'll find me pottering around the orchard, fishing, or socialising with our amazing friends and family.
I love working alongside the wonderful team at My Two Cents, ensuring our clients’ businesses run smoothly.

Hi I'm Charlotte
Together with my husband and son, I live in Mangawhai and love having the best of rural life and the beach life at our fingertips.
Previously a travel agent for many adventurous travel-filled years, Covid brought a halt to that and saw me looking for a role that incorporated the work I enjoy most.
For me this is assisting people through administration & organisation and continuing my obsession of creating and ticking off a to do list! I like to be busy and love that I learn new things everyday.
I am so fortunate to be part of the My Two Cents team and work alongside this amazing group of bookkeepers and accountants.
